Best Self Storage Facility in Ithaca NY

When Searching for a self storage unit near Lansing consider the following:

  • What will storage cost me monthly?

  • Do I need 24 hour Access to my storage?

  • Do I need insurance for my storage unit?

Finding a good self storage unit is like finding a good landlord, only that unlike the landlord, you only deal with the storage company only once or twice when you are moving in. Your only job is to pay rent on time and you can visit at any time without asking anyone for permission.

When choosing a storage unit, you need to be careful especially if you plan to store your belongings there for a long time. Here is how to choose the right storage unit:

Ithaca is a beautiful city to visit located in New York. Whether you're there for shopping, dining, college or to spend some time in nature, Ithaca has something for everyone.

Waterfalls:

One of the things Ithaca is most famous for are its waterfalls. The land the city sits on was carved by ancient glaciers millions of years ago. These glaciers formed the gorges that can be seen in Ithaca today. There are over 150 waterfalls in the 10 miles that make up Ithaca and its surrounding area. With so many waterfalls so close together you can see quite a few of them in the course of one's day. Some of the best waterfalls to visit include Taughannock Falls, which is 215 feet tall, Buttermilk Falls, which is 165 feet tall, Ithaca Falls, which is 150 feet tall and Lucifer Falls, which is 115 feet tall. You can hike into all of these waterfalls; however, Taughannock Falls also has an overlook, Buttermilk Falls are best seen from the base and Ithaca Falls can be seen right from the road or pull into a lot across from the Fall Creek house tavern and walk the path to the falls.  https://www.visitithaca.com/attractions/waterfalls

Cayuga Lake:

Cayuga Lake is the longest of the Finger Lakes and offers clean water for swimming, canoeing and kayaking. There are picnic sites located on the lake at Stewart Parks and boat launches available at the Treman Marina near Cass Park. You can visit one of the several wineries that circle the perimeter of the lake and if you're hungry there are waterfront dining facilities that offer a great view of the lake. You can rent a canoe or kayak from several retailers for a leisurely paddle around Cayuga Lake. If fishing is what you're after you'll find excellent fishing in this lake. If you don't own a boat you can rent one or you can hop on a scenic cruise so you get a personalized look at the Lake and some history of the surrounding area. https://www.visitithaca.com/attractions/cayuga-lake

Discovery Trail:

Ithaca is home to some fabulous museums and exhibits for people of all ages. From peaceful walks to famous talks, from hands-on fun to genealogical research, there's so much to see and do along the Discovery Trail. These eight fascinating sites are an easy drive from downtown Ithaca, Cornell University, Ithaca College, Cayuga Lake and other Finger Lakes attractions. The Discovery Trail Partnership is a group of educational organizations based in Ithaca, NY. The only organization of its kind, the Discovery Trail promotes awareness and understanding of the connections among art, history, literature, science, and the natural world. The Science Center has over 250 exhibits that are hands-on and touchable and change regularly.
